Just sign up for that Ironman Louisville! I think you'd love that book that I mentioned in my post today. I think you and the author of that book are soul-mates.Soapin' Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04319945263299559871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2373525255232982312.post-59986493369294288862007-06-26T10:11:00.000-05:002007-06-26T10:11:00.000-05:00ha...josh, you're somthing else :) I'm also lookin...ha...josh, you're somthing else :) I'm also looking for an inexpensive decent bike, so I'll be interested to see if anyone has any suggestions! Don't know if I'll actually do any tris, but the crosstraining of biking and swimming seems like a good thing, and fun as well.Adelynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16256451142660464796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2373525255232982312.post-301225614400517012007-06-25T22:09:00.000-05:002007-06-25T22:09:00.000-05:005k? Whats a 5k??Oh Red, I don't know how to work m...5k? Whats a 5k??
Oh Red, I don't know how to work my way into anything gradually. I run marathons and ultras because I enjoy them. I don't run shorter races because I have no interest in them, and I don't think I would enjoy them. I think I would enjoy the Ironman experience, but I don't think I would enjoy shorter distances, so why do it? I don't know if I am overconfident but I don't think it would take more than a couple months of tri specific training for me to be ready for an Ironman. Many people like short races and would never dream of running a marathon or doing and Ironman, and that's fine with me. As long as they are out there exercising and having a good time, that's all that matter. I am just the exact opposite of those people. I'm not saying it's good or bad. That's just the way I am!
Yeah, the swim/run would be fun. I haven't been on a bike since I was a kid so I am sure that will be my worst event. As for this weekend, I am not sure where we are going to run but we plan to do back to back 50k's somewhere up that way. I better see you then!

Kim,

OK, if you say so, lol. I would do any one of them in the US. I'll just have to wait until the 2008 registrations open up and see if I can get into one.Joshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00993287654198530451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2373525255232982312.post-53415436066577628932007-06-25T17:38:00.000-05:002007-06-25T17:38:00.000-05:00DO IT JOSH DO IT!!!What about Ironman LOUISVILLE??...DO IT JOSH DO IT!!!

What about Ironman LOUISVILLE??? Can you just work your way into it gradually or do you always work like this; marathons and ultras before you've even run a 5k. You are something else. I was just thinking today about my upcoming triathlon. I have a clunky mountain bike that will slow me down. If there were swimming/running duathalons...I'd really be into that. You have to ride twice as long on a bike to get a good aerobic workout of run or swim. Are you running the BK 50 course this weekend?Soapin' Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04319945263299559871noreply@blogger.com
