This is the place where I will pass along the progression of my training in the sport of Ultrarunning and hopefully correspond with fellow Ultrarunners.
I am an Ultrarunner. I started running in 2006 and finished my first 100 miler in June '07. I am looking forward to a lifetime of running, and can't imagine how I have lived this long without it.
no running today. I have this pain on the bottom of my foot. I am thinking (hoping) it is just a bruise and will heal enough to be able to run in a day or so. I wanted to get another 80+ miles this week but that isn't going to happen now. I hope to set a PR at the Chicago Lakefront 50K this weekend. It is supposed to be a very flat course.
Good luck going for the 50k. I agree with what Mike said, about the importance of rest. Maybe that's just what your body needs to have a great race this weekend! You've put in some awesome mileage lately, and I'm sure it'll pay off :)

Good luck in Chicago! I think that 50K is on a paved bike trail. It could be windy too.
Josh,
I have read in a few places where the "down" time between workouts may be more important than the workout itself....
You have kept up a phenomenal schedule for some time....take a slow week and you will come back even better!

Kim,
Yep, paved bike trail. It is an out and back repeated 2 or 3 times. Wind could be a problem but the finishing times for this race are still VERY fast.
Mike,
Thanks, I am going to take your advice. I just have a few nagging pains, I will give them a few days.
Addy,
Yeah, I think that is what my body needs. I just hope it doesn't require to much rest! Thanks!
